Jay Gotra began his own security system company in 2003: Alliance Security. He started the company in his own apartment with just 2 employees. Fast forward 11 years, and Jay was able to grow the company to a projected $115 million in sales for 2016 with close to 700 employees. In addition to building Alliance into the successful home security solutions company that it is today, Jay enjoys devoting his time and resources to the fight against domestic violence. In the past 2 years, Jay Gotra and Alliance Security have joined forces with Ten Men. This Rhode Island-based initiative based empowers non-violent men to combat domestic violence. The initiative consists of programming that creates a dialogue about how men can help end this violence through education. As a member of Ten Men, Jay and Alliance provide free home security systems and monitoring to those at risk of domestic violence who are currently living in transitional housing. To date, Alliance has provided these security solutions to 60 transitional homes. Alliance provides free installation, equipment and monitoring for 2 years, all free-of-charge to the residents. At the two year mark, the free service either continues or the equipment is installed at a new transitional home in need of protection. Jay couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to use his professional work to help those in need. He is also deeply appreciative for being named as one of 2015’s 40 Under Forty by Providence Business News (PBN). This is a great honor that recognizes forty members of the Rhode Island community who have had professional success and also strive to make a positive difference in the world on a local, national and/or an international scale. Amanda Howard
CEO & Founder of Amanda Howard Sotheby’s International Realty
I’ve been taught many lessons and strategies in life, not only in Real Estate, but also as a CEO, coach, mentor, mother, and wife. Thankfully, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from and be supported by some super rock stars along the way. What I’ve learned is this: You must first discover what being successful is in your own mind. Then, transmit that into your business and ensure it reaches your financial goals. The gratification of reaching your goals will allow you to experience more, and enjoy life more, with those you love. That’s what makes me truly feel successful. It comes full circle, but you must start by working hard and find someone, or a group of people, who are willing to advise, push, and support you to be the best you can be. This is what we strive to deliver on a daily basis at Amanda Howard Sotheby’s International Realty. How can working for AHRE help achieve the next level of success you’re striving for? Opportunity, Culture, and Leadership. We’re a company moving in forward motion. Inc. 5000 reported AHRE as one of the fastest growing private companies in 2015 for our 104% strategically planned growth over the last three years! We are looking for the best and most driven licensed sales agents who are interactive and excited at the prospect of helping others. Current growth opportunities include Chief Talent Officers, Directors of First Impressions, Leading Olympic Sales Brokers to launch upcoming offices, and also several new Intern positions offering on-the-job training. Curious about our Leadership Team? We work as a team constantly building up to the next level. We have recorded testimonials of our team members so you can hear first hand what it’s like working with our leadership team, and me, plus what it has done for their personal growth and careers. If this sounds like a company you want to help you achieve your goals we would love to hear from you.
