In 2008 he was transferred to California to join Sony US business as VP of new internet service, and after served eBook Business department as business strategy role, he joined Japanese #1 eCommerce company Rakuten to help their global digital content business expansion. in the meantime he was selected “Next Generation #100” by the Nikkei business magazine as volunteer supporter and mentor for Japanese entrepreneurs and startups who wants to come to Silicon Valley. He spent his spare time to support them to create new aspect of the future of Japan. and he spoke about this challenge at TEDx in Japan in 2013. After 13 years from his first startup in Tokyo, he has founded new startup in Silicon Valley to contribute to the society by innovation in smart home space.
