Rick Hooper
CEO of Barefoot Power
Rick Hooper, an experienced Managing Director who has led operations for a variety of global enterprises with a passion for social enterprise, joined Barefoot Power as CEO in September 2011. Educated in Australia, Rick currently sits on the board of Acoustic3D. Prior to joining Barefoot Power, Rick joined Netherland’s based Philips Corporation. After building engineering and manufacturing expertise in lighting in Philips and subsequently in two major Australian companies, he took over the running and build up of the Philips Lighting business based in Thailand. Over the next seven years Rick and his team built and commissioned state-of-art factories and logistics operations and expanding both Asian and global markets. At the turn of the millennium, Rick left Philips to take up successive Managing Director roles in three companies based in Asia which developed, manufactured and distributed high technology products globally. This further exposed Rick to a range of consumer product manufacturing including electronic, LED and solar technologies in very high growth and complex businesses with a variety of funding and investor models. Rick has in-depth expertise across Consumer Mechanical Components, Supply Chain, FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Manufacturing, TQM, Six Sigma, Warehousing and Distribution which underpins his significant general management and business leadership experience and skills. Rick has also had a long association with social enterprise including President of the Thailand based entity of a Dutch charity providing support both financial and housing for under privileged regional high schools students in order for them to gain vocational school qualifications. More recently, Rick privately supported a Thai regional primary school financially to establish building infrastructure to support school growth and development goals.

Currently the Director of Stockley-Smith & Associates, Martin provides consulting services for major financial market participants as well as start ups in wholesale and retail markets.
