During his tenure, his team furthered Oracle’s industry leading position in analytics, and measurably advanced its BI Platform market share through the acquisition of Endeca and the introduction of the Exalytics in-memory Analytics machine, a product with one of the fastest ramps in Oracle’s history. Gaurav started his career as the first product manager at MicroStrategy where he rose to become VP/GM with responsibility for MicroStrategy’s Product Management, Professional Services & Analytical Applications divisions. He was part of a management team that grew MicroStrategy from single digit millions in revenue through its IPO and into a $200M+ BI products leader. Before Oracle, Gaurav was co-founder & CEO of FirstRain, a venture-backed leader in SaaS search-based market intelligence. Outside Numerify, Gaurav enjoys going on nature treks in the San Francisco bay area with his wife and children. Gaurav holds BS, MS & EE degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received the Tau Beta Pi prize for Engineering Excellence, the Robert A. Phil Tee is Chairman and CEO of Moogsoft. He made an indelible mark in information technology by co-founding Omnibus Transport Technologies Limited (OTT) in 1993 to build and market Netcool/Omnibus. OTT was folded into Micromuse (Nasdaq: MUSE) in 1994 and Netcool/Omnibus became the company’s flagship product. This technology continues to be the in the core of the management support systems in the world’s largest networks in the form of IBM Tivoli Netcool. In 1997, Phil founded Riversoft (LSE: RSFT) to solve the problem of root cause analysis; the technology acquired by Micromuse and the software subsequently became part of the IBM Tivoli Netcool suite. Phil then went on to lead Njini, producing a revolutionary and early data and storage software layer with data de-duplication and information lifecycle management (ILM) capabilities. The company’s technology was acquired by Riverbed (Nasdaq:RVBD). In 2008, Phil founded Promethyan to gestate multiple startups concurrently. Two Promethyan children of note include Prelert and RiverMuse.
