Uptake was named “Startup of the Year” in 2015 by Forbes, was #5 in the 2017 CNBC Disruptor 50, and was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. Brad is a co-founder of Tempus, Groupon (NASDAQ:GRPN), Echo Global Logistics (NASDAQ:ECHO), MediaOcean, Drivin (acquired by NYSE:KAR), and the venture capital firm Lightbank. He is on the Board of Trustees of Equity Residential (NYSE:EQR). He is the founder and Chairman of Chicago Ideas, which has grown into one of the largest innovation and ideas gatherings in the world. He is the Chairman of Future Founders Foundation, providing entrepreneurial education to inner-city students in the Chicagoland area. Brad is an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Bruce Duncan President and Chief Executive Officer of First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. in January 2009, Bruce Duncan brings more than 30 years of real estate management and investment experience to the Company. He was appointed Chairman of the Board in January 2016. Bruce presently serves as Chairman of the Board of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT), one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world, a position he has held since 2005. From April to September 2007, Bruce served as CEO of Starwood on an interim basis. He has been a member of Starwood’s Board of Directors since 1999, and was a Trustee of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, a real estate investment trust and former subsidiary of Starwood, since 1995. Bruce is also an independent director of the T. Rowe Price Funds. Bruce previously served as President and CEO of Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR), a publicly traded apartment company, from 2002 through 2005. From 1995 to 2000, he was Chairman, President and CEO of Cadillac Fairview Corporation, one of North America’s largest owners and developers of retail and office properties. From 1978 to 1994, Bruce served in several management roles at JMB Realty Corporation, most recently as President and Co-CEO of JMB Institutional Realty Corporation.
