Lei Xu is CEO of JD Retail, responsible for the development, operation and strategy of the company’s retail business, both online and offline. Since joining JD in 2009, Lei Xu has held several leadership roles within the sales and marketing divisions of JD’s retail business, including head of marketing and branding, head of JD Wireless, and head of JD’s marketing and platform operations. Under his leadership, the company successfully rebranded itself from 360buy to JD.com and launched its popular mascot, Joy. Lei Xu was responsible for the launch of JD Plus, the first paid membership service in China’s e-commerce industry, as well as JD’s Super Brand Day strategic marketing program. He also leads JD’s Kepler open platform, a key pillar of JD’s Retail as a Service strategy that leverages JD’s strengths in logistics, marketing, finance, and other areas to help partners to expand their online businesses. Before joining JD, Lei Xu held several senior roles in marketing and operations at Lenovo, Allyes and Belle E-Commerce. Lei Xu holds an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School.

Haoyu Shen

Haoyu Shen has served as the Chief Executive Officer of JD Mall, JD.com’s B2C business group, since April 2014. From August 2011 to April 2014, he was JD.com’s Chief Operating Officer, in charge of their entire supply chain management and customer service functions. Shen has extensive experience across different countries and industries. Prior to joining JD.com, Shen worked at Baidu, Inc., the leading Chinese language internet search provider, where he served as a Senior Vice President from January 2010 to July 2011 and the Vice President of Business Operations from July 2007 to July 2010. From June 2001 to June 2007, Shen worked at American Express in New York as a Director at the Strategic Planning and Business Development Group, a Vice President at the Prepaid Card Group and a Vice President at the U.S. Consumer Card Group. Prior to that, Shen was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company from 1997 to 2000 and a Financial Analyst at Sinochem Group from 1992 to 1995. Shen received a Bachelor’s degree in International Finance from People’s University of China in Beijing and an MBA degree from the University of Iowa. Shen is a CFA charterholder.
