Founder and CEO of CreditEase, Chairman of the Beijing P2P Association. He is also a member of Tsinghua University China Entrepreneur Training Program’s Advisory Committee and is an advisor to Peking University Social Entrepreneurship Training Program. Tang also heads the China Association of Microfinance’s strategy committee. Tang has over 10 years experience in the field of microfinance. During his time at college, Tang travelled and lived in Bangladesh to study the poverty alleviation strategies adopted by Professor Mohamed Yunus of the Grameen Bank. In 2006 Tang founded CreditEase in Beijing. The core business of the company was to provide intermediary services for individual micro-credit borrowers. In his early career Tang worked for DLJ Investment Bank in Wall Street and was engaged in IPOs, bond issuances, and mergers and acquisitions services for finance, telecommunications, media and technology companies. Tang graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Peking University.
